extension will be available to Pompeii, Capri and the Amalfi

PAYMENT INFORMATION:
An “early bird” registration
fee of $200 is needed to enroll for the trip. It is due no later than July 1, 2009 to earn your “early bird”
discount of $200. After July 1, 2009 this amount will be considered your
deposit and will be subject to cancellation penalties
A second payment of $1000 is due November
16, 2009.
Final payment is due March 1, 2010.
Credit cards will not be accepted
on this trip.

A passport is necessary for this trip. Please advise if you are not a U.S. citizen- a visa may be required.
ITINERARY
Day 1,
June 21 Leave Detroit
by Northwest Airlines for Italy via
Amsterdam
Day
2, June 22 Arrive Milan.
Transfer to hotel in city center. Welcome dinner tonight at hotel.
Day 3,
June 23 Morning departure for a scenic drive to beautiful
Lake Garda. Dinner
at hotel and overnight at Lake Garda.
Day 4,
June 24 An exciting day today- an excursion to Venice!
On arrival you will ride by vaporetto (water taxi) along the
Grand Canal to the Doges Palace
where you will meet your local guide for a walking tour of
this incredible city. Time for lunch(on your own) and before
your late afternoon return to Lake Garda with dinner at the
hotel.
Day 5,
June 25 Today
you may spend the day at leisure in Lake Garda with dinner tonight at the hotel.
Day 6,
June 26 Today you are off to Montecatini Terme
(possibly via Pisa) Dinner tonight in Montecatini. Overnight Montecatini
Day 7,
June 27 Morning city tour of Florence with a visit to the Accademia featuring the renowned sculpture of “David”. Your afternoon is free
to shop or explore Florence’s many treasures.
Dinner tonight in
Florence. Return to Montecatini hotel
Day 8, June 28
A wonderful day to explore the picturesque Tuscan region- Siena, Montereggione with
lunch and wine tasting in San Gimignano. Return to Montecatini
for an evening at leisure and overnight.
Day 9, June 29
You’re off to Rome today via the lovely town of Orvieto. Here you can ride
the Funicular, visit the magnificent cathedral and have lunch
(on your own). Continue to Rome. Dinner
and overnight in Rome.
Day 10, June 30
This morning enjoy a sightseeing tour of ancient Rome
featuring the Forum and the Colosseum. Your afternoon and
evening are free. Overnight Rome.
Day 11,
July 1 A tour of the Vatican this morning- St. Peter’s, the Museum
and more. Afternoon at leisure. Tonight is your Farewell Dinner
in the famous Ristorante Sibilla in the Tivoli Gardens.
Day 12,
July 2 Departure for the USA today for those returning. Others going on optional extension
to Pompeii, Capri and the Amalfi Coast
also depart Rome.
We anticipate
no changes to the itinerary or included features. The trip cost is quoted on the exchange rate of the European euro and airfare
in effect in March, 2009.
