Ireland, Wales, England Itinerary

July 13 – July 25

 

July 13   Lansing – DetroitAtlantaShannon, Ireland

            Bus to Detroit from East Lansing.  Late afternoon departure.

 

July 14   Shannon – Ennis

            Arrive in Shannon at 9:30 am to be met by John Cox of the Irish Tourist Board.

            Visit Bunratty Castle, Folkpark, Dirtie Nellies for Irish Coffee.  Rehearsal in afternoon at hotel (Auburn Lodge and West County Inn hotels).

 

July 15   Ennis

            Start day with rehearsal.  Travel to Galway, Cliffs of Moher and Burrea.  Travel to Limerick to perform concert followed by Welcome dinner (Medieval banquet) at Knappogue Castle.  Back to Ennis over night.

 

July 16   Ennis – Kilarney

            Travel to Kilarney via Ring of Kerry.  Check into hotel in Kilarney (Arbutus Hotel).  Concert in evening at Scotts Beer Garden.

 

July 17   Kilarney – Waterford

            Depart Kilarney and visit Blarney Castle enroute to Waterford.  Check into hotel in Waterford (Bridge Hotel).  Remainder of day at leisure.

 

July 18   WaterfordDublin

            Arrive Dublin at 1:30.  Visit Trinity College Library, National Museum, walk the Dublin streets including Grafton Street.  Check into hotel at 6:30 (Lucan Spa).

 

July 19   Dublin

            Morning panoramic tour of Dublin followed by early afternoon rehearsal.  Concert at Peoples Park In Dun Laoire. 

 

July 20   Dublin – Holyhead, Wales - Liverpool

            Depart Dublin for Seahawk Ferry to Wales.  Arrive in early afternoon in Wales.  Stops in  quaint towns in Wales including Chester.  Arrive Liverpool and hotel in late afternoon (Atlantic Hotel).

 

July 21   LiverpoolBirmingham

            Leave Liverpool – travel through Llangollen and Shrewsbury to Birmingham.  Concert in evening and overnight in Birmingham.

 

July 22   BirminghamLondon

            Depart Birmingham enroute to London.  Stops at Coventry Cathedral, Stratford –on-    Avon and Oxford.  Arrive in London and our hotel (London Hospitality Inn, Bayswater).  Farewell Banquet in evening.

 

July 23    London

            Panoramic tour of London – St James to watch changing of the guard, Trafalgar area, Oxford street, Marble Arch, and much more.  Afternoon at leisure.  Evening Concert in Reading.

 

July 24    London

            Whole day free for shopping, etc. 

 

July 25    LondonDetroit

            Depart London at 11:30 for Detroit.
